Bibb Schools to Offer Free Flu Shots to Students | Schools
Bibb Schools will offer flu shots to students.
Monday, nurses will visit schools and give shots by either nasal mist or shot, according to a release.
Consent forms were sent home to parents and are required for children to receive the vaccination.
The shot won't cost parents, but insurance will be filed for students who have Medicaid, Peachcare, Wellcare, Peachstate, Amerigroup, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia PPO or a state health benefit plan through United Healthcare or Cigna.
Parents can call the Macon-Bibb County Health Department at 478-745-0411 for more information.
