Meiko Releases Album That Airs on 'The Bright Side'

Meiko Releases Album That Airs on 'The Bright Side'

Roberta native and singer-songwriter Meiko released her new album Tuesday.

The album, The Bright Side is already rising fast up the Top 100 on iTunes (currently two spots higher than Macon native Jason Aldean).

Building on the romantic themes present in her self-titled 2007 debut, Meiko's latest offering is more mature, and effortlessly weaves in and out of the light-hearted and hard parts of love.

The album debuts Meiko's (pronounced Mee-ko) Fantasy Records/Concord Music Group label. On the album you'll find folk-pop with fluid interjections of electronic beats. You'll hear more of an upbeat vibe, compared to her self-titled album first released in 2007.

You may have first experienced Meiko's music in shows like Grey's Anatomy, One Tree Hill and Pretty Little Liars.

As fate would have it, I stepped in to Encore Boutique and met Heather- she was an ADPi like myself and we got to talking. She told me of her plans to open her own boutique either in Statesboro or Savannah. Well, fate stepped in again and she choose Savannah...
