What to do ???

What to do ???

My oldest daughter starting dating a boy about 2 years ago , she's almost 19 now. Since the first time i met this kid he's been telling me one day he's gonna be a redcoat.

Well they both started UGA this fall and he did indeed make the redcoat band.

For 2 years I've been telling him the first time he plays we would be there.

Enter the problem, Juliette Opry is the same night.

I wished i could say it's a hard decision, but it's not . I have watched him practice and play at his high school , marching band , jazz ensemble, Ingleside baptist church: he's worked hard, and I'm gonna go.

I share this story with you, because it's about the only thing that could have made me miss this weekend .I know your probably tired of hearing it , but Catherine Kimbro is coming to town. By Sunday morning Catherine should be a finalist in the Georgia female country artist of the year.

September's Friday Fest!

*Jubee & The Morning After are signing CDs tomorrow at The Opening Act at 567 Cherry St.

Mag Tard is Mulberry Street Market's Newest Produce

The Mulberry Street Market is proud to present the band Mag Tard this Wednesday for an acoustic set.

The band is well known around Macon, and will be the first full band to play the market. The event is the market's first ever fifth Wednesday music extravaganza.

All of the band members are well known to the market and participate in one of the vendor's Community Supported Agriculture fund. They encourage everyone to shop, buy and eat local and are proud to participate in the market's efforts to get Maconite's eating healthful foods.

The music will start at 6 p.m. and will wrap up with the market at 7.

Of course, great music is not the only thing in the menu this week. The market's standard fare of fresh produce, baked goods, meats, jams, jellies, and potted plants will be available as well.
