Roadwork Along I-16 to Close One Lane

From Monday, March 12 through Thursday, March 29 I-16 Eastbound will have one lane closed for cable barrier installation, a Georgia Department of Transportation news release says.

That lane closure extends from mile marker 6, SR 87 to mile marker 65 in Laurens County near SR 29.

Arkwright Road I-75 Exit Closed Saturday

MACON, GA.-- I-75 Exit 169/Arkwright Road will be closed Saturday, a Georgia of Department of Transportation news release says.

On Saturday, March 10, I-75 Exit 169 Arkwright Rd. exit ramp will be closed. That's north and southbound. If you're headed north, use Exit 171 near the Shoppes at River Crossing and if you're going south, use Exit 167 at Pierce Ave.

The exit is scheduled to be closed from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Georgia Department of Transportation expects a lane to be closed on I-75 and I-16 during guardrail repair. Those lane closures are in Bibb, Monroe and Twiggs counties.

Georgia Department of Transportation is conducting an online survey to determine Central Georgia's transportation needs.

The purpose of the study: 

 this study will be the first holistic look at traffic and goods movement across this portion of the state and will build off of the accomplishments and lessons learned from previous transportation studies. The study includes thorough analysis of operational and capacity needs to improve safety, freight movements, person mobility, and connectivity across Central Georgia through the year 2035.
