Macon-Bibb celebrates Earth Day with festival in Tattnall Square Park

Macon-Bibb County and its partners will hold its annual Earth Day festival on Wednesday, April 20 at Tattnall Square Park from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

People of all ages will be able to enjoy a vendors market with local produce and educational materials, and there will be a kids zone with games, prizes, face-painting, and more. The Southeastern Reptile Rescue is bringing live animals you can interact with, and Idyll Acres Rescue Ranch will be there with their mini-horse, Poppy Boy.

In addition to the fun and interactive offerings, people will be able to learn about ways to go green at work, home, and school, and on the go. They will be able to sign up for Macon-Bibb County’s new recycling program and learn what can and can’t be put in the new 65-gallon bins.
